walking (with a little help of course!)

So about the hair cut. Bad plan and big fat fail. It was awful. Nathan sat in my lap but lost it as soon as she tried to comb his hair. We never use a comb so I'm sure it just felt really funny. Then came the scissors. No biggy except it involves him sitting still. Not.going.to.happen.  So, we pulled the Dr's office trick of me basically pinning his head down. It isn't as bad as it sounds but it still isn't fun. Long story short, there was cutting involved but it wasn't a real good cut. It's still kind of choppy because she couldn't blend it with him wiggling and screaming. I think it looked better before and didn't mind the hair over his ear so much but Jeremy thinks it was too shaggy before. Since a cut will involve me hold him down, another one will not happen any time soon. 

Nate has been cruising the furniture and playing around with a little push toy for a couple weeks now. He usually makes it across the room but has not been very steady on his feet. Today, he took off! I think he would have been out the front door if we let him. We got a kick out of his little run. 

Tomorrow morning we leave for a couple days. We are going to see Heather's honor roll awards then head to mom's for a couple days to see the rest of the family. Might as well spread the sleeplessness around, right? :-)
